Berwick Boulevard Brightens Holiday | News
A holiday tradition kicked off in Columbia County. Officials in Berwick flipped the switch on the annual Boulevard of Lights.
It's what some families look forward to all year long; taking a drive or stroll down the Christmas Boulevard of Lights in Berwick, a tradition that everyone can enjoy.
"Oh, they're great. It's something that's been done since I was a little kid,” said one person viewing the display.
It's the 64th year for the Boulevard of Lights.
Cars lined up on Market Street to slowly scope out all the different Christmas decorations.
Candy canes, Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, even Santa Claus were all lit up to spread the holiday cheer.
"We just love the lights and the boulevard,” said Debra Hiller of Berwick. “I've come to this since I was very little, and every year it's always different, and we really enjoy it."
"It's something we do every year, we hit this place,” said Christina Yeagle of Berwick. “At least 10 to 15 times until this whole thing is over."
Before it's all over, some are hopeful that mother nature will give us a treat, to make the lights a little more enjoyable
"It's great especially when the snow falls and everything across the boulevard,” said Jillian Schell of Berwick. “It's beautiful, I would say everybody should come and see them!"
